Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India is a famous avifauna sanctuary that plays host to thousands of birds especially during the winter season. Over 230 species of birds are known to have made the National Park their home. It is also a major tourist centre with scores of ornithologists arriving here in the hibernal season.

How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport from Bharatpur National Park is Agra (55 km).

By Rail: The Bharatpur railway station is only at 6 Km from the park and is well connected by rail services to major cities of India including Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Agra.

By Road: Bharatpur is well connected by roads to all the major cities of the Rajasthan and its neighboring states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary

The Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over a dry & deciduous forests. Almost ninety per cent the forest is dotted with the Dhok trees. The Sariska National Park is spread over an area of 300 sqaure miles. The Park is situated in the state of Rajasthan in the backdrop of the bushy hills of Aravali.

How to Get there
Air : The nearest airport from Sariska is Jaipur, situated at a distance 107 Km and well connected to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Jodhpur.

Rail : Alwar, at a distance of 37 km, is The nearest railway station from Sariska. From Alwar, you can hire a taxi to reach Sariska. There are regular bus services from Alwar to Sariska.

By Road : Sariska National Park is situated on the Delhi-Alwar-Jaipur Highway. Regular bus services link Alwar to major destinations in and around Rajasthan and Delhi. You can also hire taxis for Sariska.

Gir National Park & Sanctuary

Gir National park is the only home to the Asiatic Lions in India. The Gir National Park /wildlife sanctuary lies in the Gujarat peninsula in South-Western part of India.

The count of 2,375 distinct fauna species of Gir includes about 38 species of mammals, around 300 species of birds, 37 species of reptiles and more than 2,000 species of insects.

The carnivores group mainly comprises Asiatic lions, Indian Leopards, Bengal Tigers, Sloth bears, King Cobras, Jungle cats, Striped Hyenas, Golden Jackals, Indian Mongoose, Indian Palm Civets, and Ratels. Desert cats and Rusty-spotted cats exist but are rarely seen.
